Marx enjoys working on a wide variety of materials and has designed record covers, T-shirts, porcelain and skateboards. He studied cultural philosophy with Heinz Petzold and typography with Jovica Veljovic at HAW Hamburg. In the meantime, he has developed his own characteristic typeface in which he designs his concise text images. The words and phrases used for this purpose are often encountered in his everyday life, for Marx is an attentive observer and listener. Thus the quotation used here was also inspired by a story told to him about memories and happiness.
