Description:
The Swiss artist Harald Naegeli became known worldwide as the "Sprayer of Zurich" at the end of the 1970s. With his graffiti, he criticised the monotonous, inhospitable cityscape of Zurich, but also politics and the treatment of the environment. Convicted of multiple counts of damage to property, Naegeli fled to Germany, whereupon an international arrest warrant was issued for him. On his return to Switzerland, he therefore had to serve a six-month prison sentence. After that, he lived and worked mainly in Düsseldorf. 2020 Back in Zurich, he sprayed over 80 "death dances" in the city during the first Covid 19 lockdown. The canton sued him, the city awarded him the grand art prize. Press: - "A sensitive portrait of a feisty artist" - (3SAT Kulturzeit) - "Touching" - (TAZ) - "What a stroke from a paint can can trigger, the film shows in calm images that are absolutely worth seeing" - (WDR Westart).
